By enrolling in one of our website maintenance and support packages, we monitor your website to ensure it remains online, operational, and secure for your visitors. We do not impose contracts or long-term commitments; all our maintenance and support packages can be canceled on a monthly basis.

The team at Spijker en Co has greatly assisted us with the maintenance of our WordPress website. Thanks to their proactive approach and quick support, our site remains secure and up-to-date.

Website maintenance and support contracts can be canceled monthly. Unused support hours are not transferable to the next month. Websites that were not built by us or have not been maintained for a while will be inspected before we include them in a maintenance and support package. In cases of significant overdue maintenance, we will charge a one-time fee.

Frequently Asked Questions About Website Maintenance and Support

The average WordPress website needs to be updated between 150 and 250 times a year. That’s almost an update every workday. If you wait too long to update your website, you may find that certain components function poorly, are no longer editable, or worse, completely stop working.

A greater risk comes from missing security updates. If you neglect or delay these, you increase the chances of your website being hacked or being flagged by Google as an unsafe site. Along with the warning that the website is not trusted, Google also adjusts your website’s ranking, making it practically unfindable. The result: fewer visitors, fewer customers, and consequently, less revenue.

The goal of our packages is preventive care, so we aim to prevent anything from happening. However, if something goes wrong with your website, we will immediately take action to resolve the issue. We cannot promise that your website won’t be hacked, but we assure you that we will do everything in our power to prevent it. And we can assist you in restoring and cleaning your website with one of our backups.

It is possible, but some technical knowledge is required to do this properly. You need to create a complete backup of your WordPress website for updates, including all plugins and themes. You also need to back up the database behind the website. After that, you can carry out the updates and check if your website functions well after each update. If all goes well, you’re done. However, if something goes wrong, you must restore the backup and investigate what caused the conflict.

 

You can also choose to let us handle the updates and upgrades of WordPress, especially if you don’t have the time or are afraid something might go wrong. If something actually goes wrong during the update, we will fix it immediately. The maintenance of your website then becomes our responsibility.

With each package, in addition to the time we dedicate to maintenance, there is standard extra time for support built in, which you can use every month. During this time, we can provide additional training, place content on your website, make small web design adjustments, or add technical enhancements to your website. You can choose to have us handle all upcoming tasks, so you don’t have to do anything yourself.

We reserve monthly time in our schedule for support. This way, you can expect that your support request will be addressed quickly by us. Our plans are tailored to the needs of our clients and provide a dedicated time slot for that purpose.

If you have a task that requires more time than your special monthly support hours allow, we will send you a quote for the extra work. Alternatively, we can discuss spreading the task over multiple months.

Sure! We are happy to assist you if you encounter any difficulties or if you are looking for more information. Whether by phone or email, we always strive to help you as quickly as possible. If we do need to charge for our services, we will inform you in advance.

We will first evaluate your website to see how it has been built and what condition it is currently in. With this evaluation, we will carry out all “Website updates and monitoring” tasks and create a complete backup. The most important part is that we will make a list of all issues that need to be resolved and provide suggestions for necessary improvements. If we do not see any problems, we can include your website in one of our maintenance and support packages.


An evaluation and update session costs a one-time fee of € 250 per website. We will carry out the following tasks:



  • Software upgrades for enhanced security and the latest features

  • Complete backup of the website

  • Security scan for website safety

  • Speed optimization to improve website loading times

  • Broken link scan and correction for better SEO

Absolutely. We value a good relationship with you and your website, so we don’t want to see you go. We also understand that you prefer to invest your money in other resources, and we really don’t want to tie you down with a maintenance and support package. Simply cancel the subscription by sending an email to info@spijkerenco.nl, and we won’t send you another invoice.
